Raising Labrador puppies is a full-time commitment for us at Gallivant. Each litter is born and raised in our home, and we devote the majority of our time to ensuring our puppies and dogs receive nothing but the best care and attention.
All pet/companion puppies are sold on AKC limited registration (non-breeding contract).
Puppies are up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and undergo an extensive health exam by a veterinarian.
All puppies' parents are certified with the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals for hips, elbows, eyes, and heart, and genetically tested with DDC (DNA Diagnostic Center), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), Cystinuria, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM), Exercise-Induced Collapse (EIC), Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis (HNPK), and Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Progressive Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd) to ensure that your puppy is as healthy as possible.
Puppies are available for adoption at a minimum of 8 weeks old.

Standard Puppy
Advanced Manners puppies are top-quality puppies that we have held back longer as part of our final selection from each litter. By the time they are 12 weeks, they have gone through our early socialization and basic manners puppy learning program. The goal of this program is to prepare the puppy for success in housebreaking, learn how to sleep comfortably and quietly in a crate, help them embrace and adapt to unfamiliar circumstances, and develop essential behaviors and everyday life skills.

Advanced Manners Puppy
Started & Older Dogs are dogs that we have kept as potential show/breeding dogs but later decide to let them go. They are crate, leash trained, have recall, and are seasoned travelers. They have been through the same exposure and socialization as our Advanced Manner Puppies. They have no known health issues, making them suitable for service, therapy, or companionship.

If you are looking for the ideal dog without the hassle of training, our professionally trained dogs are the perfect solution. Skill sets include: name recognition, sit, stay, down, wait, come, and leave it, along with leash and off-leash training and socialization in various environments, emphasizing consistency and exposure to diverse environments for adaptability. Our goal is to foster good manners, proper behavior, and positive interactions with people and other animals. We work with one of the best behavioral trainers in the world to tailor training to the individual dog's and owner's needs.

Our English Lab puppies do not leave until they are at least 8 weeks old. This ensures that the puppies have had adequate time with their mother and littermates to learn important social and behavioral skills, as well as receive essential nutrition and care. It also helps to ensure the puppies are in good health and are developmentally ready to transition to their new homes.

We have prioritized the health of our breeding dogs for generations, through regular veterinary care, OFA certifications for hips, elbows, eyes, and hearts, genetic testing for EIC, PRA,CNM, HNPK, Cystinuria, and responsible breeding practices. All of our puppies have an extensive veterinary exam at 7 weeks and are up-to-date vaccinations and worming protocols prior to leaving us.

We have a return policy in place to provide a safe and loving environment for our pets if you can no longer care for them. Any dog bred by Gallivant is welcome back at any point of its life, no questions asked.

From time to time, we have retired show dogs available. These dogs have received training comparable to that of started/older dogs and are offered at a reduced price. Priority for retired dogs is given to members of the Gallivant family.

We occasionally come across dogs with special needs, whether due to congenital defects or other factors beyond their control. Despite their challenges, these dogs are happy, well-raised, and possess wonderful temperaments. We offer them for adoption to individuals or families who believe they can provide a loving home environment suited to their needs. We maintain a list of interested homes and reach out to them when a special needs dog becomes available.
