Let’s set the record straight—this is not our dog. Martha is, without a doubt, a certified momma’s girl. While she’s friendly enough to charm anyone she meets, it’s obvious that Mia is her one and only person. In Martha’s world, Mia is everything. Sure, she’ll tolerate the rest of us for the occasional pet or reluctantly follow our commands, but her happiest moments are when Mia is all hers. Despite the handful she was as a puppy—devouring anything within reach, edible or not—Martha has clearly stolen Mia’s heart. And in the show ring their connection shines for all to see.
